How cancellations and refunds work when you reserve or buy a BYD online from Modern Auto.
Reservation deposits — how refunds work
Before you sign the Deposit Agreement, you may cancel at any time and your deposit is refunded in full — no cancellation fee. Once the Deposit Agreement is signed, 50% of the deposit is refundable and we retain the other half, as stated in the agreement.
When you can cancel
Any time before the Sale & Purchase Contract is signed and before your vehicle is delivered. There is no fixed deadline — the contract signature and the delivery are what close the window.
After the Sale & Purchase Contract is signed
Once you sign the Sale & Purchase Contract the vehicle becomes your asset and no refund is possible — the same as at every BYD dealership in Cambodia.
How refunds are paid
Refunds are arranged by our team directly, by bank transfer or at the showroom. They are not returned automatically through the payment gateway, so our team will contact you to confirm the details.
